These Te+ gloves are knitted from Australian merino wool which is considered one of the softest wools available. The name tet. comes from the Japanese word for “hand” (手), symbolising the brand’s dedication to creating gloves that are both functional and elegant. Each pair is handcrafted by artisans in Japan's "glove city" Higashikagawa.

Nestled in Higashikagawa City, on the eastern edge of Kagawa Prefecture, tet. sits at the heart of Japan’s glove-making tradition. Known as the “City of Gloves,” this small coastal city produces nearly 90% of Japan’s gloves. Once thriving on sugar and salt, the region turned to a new craft in the late 19th century when overseas imports hurt local industry and an enterprising local brought glove-making techniques home from Osaka.
The brand name tet. was chosen to reflect their focus on the "hands" that create so many things, and the desire to convey the various stories that unfold "through hands." Te want our activities to evoke a sense of warmth and gentleness, much like the Japanese word for "hand ."
