Expansion Update - The Wall is Finally Down

Hi Everyone, it's Trang here!

I just got back from walking my dogs and between the warm weather and the birds singing, it certainly feels like Spring earlier this week! There are so much to look forward to in March, but first, I wanted to give you a sneak peak at our expansion progress. 

 

Packing, packing, and more packing...

Last week was so hectic! We packed up the entire shop while work was being done in the new space. Both the flooring and painting took longer than expected but we're very happy with how it came out. Surprisingly, (but maybe not?) the hardest part was picking out a color. I’ve always wanted to paint the windowsills to add more character to the store, and after many trips to Ace Hardware, we finally landed on Benjamin Moore Wasabi.

It's an energetic yellow-green shade that looks different with the changes of light.

Once the floor cured in the new space (unit #36), we had exactly one day to move EVERYTHING to this side. Thankfully, our friends Kimia and Ben brought the muscles to help us with the move.

To those of you who walked by and thought that we closed down for good--don't worry, we are here to stay! Seeing the relief on your faces when you realized we were actually growing was so heartwarming, you guys!

Ok, what's next?

On Monday, the demo team came and knocked down the wall (woohoo!). This week, we’re tackling unit #37 (our old space) with drywalling, painting, and flooring.
