Bamboo Toothbrush

The moso bamboo base is compostable while the medium bristles are made of 100% castor oil, and the soft bristles are made from a combination of castor oil and nylon (62% castor oil and 38% nylon). Comes with medium and soft bristles. The brush is made in China.

Castor oil bristles are still a type of polymer and therefore not commercially biodegradable. However, these bristles are still made with with less petroleum-based plastic.

Snap of the head or pull out the bristles with a pair of pliers and dispose in the trash. The bamboo handle can be placed in the compost bin. We also recommend repurposing your toothbrush in creative ways such as plant label, paint stirrers, or simply use it for household cleaning for those hard to reach spaces (like the base around the faucet, bathroom drain etc.)
