The bamboo used is Forestry Stewardship Certified and comes from sustainably and responsibly manage forests in China.

The moso bamboo base is compostable while the bristles are made of a combination of castor oil and nylon (62% castor oil and 38% nylon). The brush is made in China.
Pull out the bristles with a pair of pliers and dispose in the trash. The bamboo base can be placed in the compost bin. We also recommend repurposing your toothbrush in creative ways such as plant label, paint stirrers, or simply use it for household cleaning for those hard to reach spaces (like the base around the faucet, bathroom drain etc.)
